Happy 80th Anniversary, St Philip's!
This term we will be celebrating 80 years of St Philip's School with many exciting events. Watch this space and our Old Boys Association Newsletter closely for details. If you are an Old Boy and have not yet signed up for the OBA Newsletter, please email us or fill in our form here.
This term, a range of trips has been planned, including a Form 5 history visit to Bodiam Castle and Battle Abbey, several theatre trips involving different forms and a number of visits to the Wallace Collection in conjunction with English, French and Art curriculum work. A party of 40 boys and several staff are off to the French Alps at half term on the annual ski trip.
Another highlight of the Lent Term is sure to be the school drama production, “Going Home the Long Way”, which is based on the story of Odysseus. There will be three performances at the 20th Century Theatre in March, which will involve a large proportion of the school population! We will also be hatching some more chicks this term courtesy of Living Eggs.
Before Christmas last year, pupils at St Philip's made Christmas Boxes for children affected by the typhoon. On Valentine's Day this year, the children recieved the boxes, thanks to the efforts of some St Philip's parents, their familes and friends. Click here to watch the video they made when delivering the boxes.
